
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, plays as a striker in the San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) which is the highest level of women's soccer in United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020 with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][99 Morgan was drafted as the number one player in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she completed her degree early at the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. In the team, she made her debut in professional football and was a part of the team's success in winning the league championship. Morgan was 22, at the time was the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team finished as runners-up. She scored the match-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final game during the 2012 London Olympics. She finished 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists and was able to join Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and give 20 assists within the same year, making her the sixth the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year, Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in helping the United States win their titles at the 2015 and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, which included her on the Dream Team for both tournaments in addition to winning the Silver Boot in 2019.
